What tires are you running????????????????
Dave according to the ITP website and ads in recent magazines they are now using the same compound as the 589's. This is a much harder compound than mine, which are pretty soft. I rode at Windrock with my Mudlites last week and they performed pretty well, I did have one sidewall cut with a very slow leak, fixed it with Slime, and didn't leak again. The rocks were very tough on the edges, they are really smoothed over now. We rode the rockiest trails there. They took a beating with only one cut...not too bad I guess.

I'll be sure to pass along the mudlite info though.

I run 27's on the inside and 26's on the outside. I tried running all 27's on the rear and 26's on the front, but it is suposed to have the same size all the way around. Stock tires on my machine are the Goodyear Runflats and they seem to be a good tire, but I only use them in the winter with chains on them for plowing snow. My duals are SuperSwamper Vampires and they are good on soft ground, but not worth a crap on frozen ground.

I found another new tire on the net today. Its a new tire from Duro. It looks much like a Maxxis Bighorn or GBC Dirt Tamer. The website says they are radial, and only come in 25" at this time. The Duro tire prices seem much cheaper than the Maxxis or GBC but haven't found the prices for the Duro DI 2025. Here is a link: http://www.durotire.com/products/ind...rent=Mud__Sand
Does anyone else run these tires? I would be interested in finding a dealer or someone who has them. I really like the Maxxis Bighorn or the GBC Dirt Tamers but this maybe a lower price option, in a radial.

26" Bighorns...very nice. I ride mainly trails and rocks with occasional mud, streams and sand.
I was in a tricky situation going diagonal up a steep dirt hill. It was the kind of hill where if you were to go straight up you'd proably flip and roll backwards, or you'd have to dismount and walk it with another. The guy with me tried the trail and his tires either skid pointing the quad up the hill or dug ditches. I was able to crawl up the hill without slipping...I was pleased.
I also noticed that compared to the XTR's they do grip better rather than dig, but I'm sure the XTR's wil shine in the muddy stuff and he'll be laughing.
