Best light trail tires
#1
I've got a lakota sport and am looking for some new tires/wheels. When I first got the quad I I hated the stock tires and all I cared about was going through anything, not questioning performance or wear so I ended up getting sur-traks. They go through anything, even with just a 2wd I havent gotten stuck since I got them, but they weigh a TON. Lately I've been doing alot of riding with 400's and am starting to do wheelies and stunts and am looking for a lighter tire setup without sacrificing much trail ability. I already purchased and installed some new duro sport fronts on douglas .190's but need rears now. I will be using .190 wheels there too. I've been looking at razr2's, mudlites, irazrs and may consider holeshots. Mudlite's are probably the best for trails, but are they as light as razrs or holeshots? If you have any other reccomendations let me know. Also, I am running 22" fronts and am going to run 20 or 22" rears. My question is, will the 1 inch of ground clearance I lose from the 20's make a big difference on the trails? I hear 20" rear with 22" fronts handles better but the roots of this quad are in the trails, so I dont want to sacrifice much trail performance. I ride anything from mud and streams to grass and sand.
Thanks
