Ok. I need some hel from you guys. We have about 12 inches of snow here in MA. I need to know what is the best way to move around in deep snow with a TRX 250R. Paddles? Chains? Mud tires? What do you guys think?

86 TRX 250R, fmf fatty, fmf silencer, renthal bars, nerf bars, holshot fronts, spider trac rears, k&n filter, durablue axle.

I would vote for chains. The problems we have been having is the mud tires dig through the snow untill they hit the frozen icy ground and then they just want to spin.

BTW how do you like the Spider Tracs?

i would agree w/ ursus about the mud tires and would also recommend either paddles or chains.

I have a question for URSUS, how do the dirtdevils and bearclaws do on your recon and beartracker? i have a beartracker too and was thinking of buying a t1500, would it have enough pulling power to get a beartracker out of snow/ mud?

The dirtdevils will be quite good in the mud I think when the spring thaw hits. They are ok in the snow, better then the stock Dunlops but not as good as I hoped, but I may be wanting performance in snow that just isn't possible.
I think the T1500 should do you just fine. I have hauled the Bear out of several mud holes and out of several creeks and it has worked great.

I have a 95 Banshee with paddles I bought for snow riding. They work great and throw a nice roost. A taller tire is good in snow like a 22"
