Default 400ex having trouble

I just bought a 2002 400ex. The tires on it are sooo bald i cant even read the size on them. Im guessing they are the originals. I need to replace them with something better. I do trail/ field/muddy roads and marsh type riding.what would better the best tires to go with. If you all could tell me your top two picks , also what size front and rear? thanks

For particularly muddy riding you might want to look at the ITP MudLite SP. http://www.itptires.com/sportatv/mudlite_sp.html

For more of an all around tire, maybe the ITP Holeshot H-D. http://www.itptires.com/sportatv/holeshot_hd.html

factory size is front 22x7x10 rear 20x10x9 most of the sport riders arond here use knarlys or klaw on the rear and razors on the front. it really depends on what you like. get the tire with the most ply for puncture protection.personaly i would get the radial tires.

im new here and lookin around at some forums.. i see u got quite a grippy tire for a sport quad, i just wanna warn you to keep a close eye on ur carrier bearings with thoes tires. make sure if u have any slop to keep the axle nut tight witch comes loose on a 400ex alot from experience. and if that dont fix the slop change the bearings befor destroying the carrier witch is 200$ for a new one.
