changing rear cv-boot on polaris sportsman 500 h.o., and i can't get rear axle disconcted. any suggestions?

 

i just change my cv axel on the right rear on my 02 sportsman 700. and mine was hard to get off too. i had i get a small prybar and put it between the upper part of the axel and the rear end, gave it a few small jerks and out she came. hope i not to late on replying to your topic but maybe that will help. thanks............shea.........
