Default Swamp lites or kenda bear claws???

Hi i have a 07 kingquad 450. And i am stuck between a set of swamp lites or bear claws. Which is a better all around tire. Also would i have any power loss if i went w the 26" tires?

Deffinately the Swamp Lites. The Swamp Lites do very well in the mud and have a very smooth ride on the trail, much smoother than stock. You will have some power loss with the 26" tires but not enough to worry about it. I went from a 16 pound tire to a 23 pound tire on my 250 and it did not effect my power much at all. How do you like your King Quad? I'm thinking about buying one soon.

I love my king quad..... I couldnt ask for a better atv. I think the kingquad 450 is the best atv in the 400-500cc range. Great 4x4 capabilities smooth ride and plenty pep and power to put a smile on your face.. King quad is the way to go. I would like to also get another one in the near future.

Default Swamp lites or kenda bear claws???

I just put 4 Swamp lites on my 500 4x4 and love them, They are a TRUE "all terrain" tire, there are others that may do better in one particular area but suffer elsewhere where the SL's will do good everywhere. The only thing I was worried about before I bought them was how they wear - but now that Ive put over 500 miles on them with no signs of wear I am not worried any longer. Also keep in mind before you jump up to 26"ers that SL 25" measure out to just over 26" inflated @5psi where most others measure out short.I got mine at - http://www.kgmotorcycletires.com/ss_swamp_light.htm - and paid 260. delivered to the door, I called them on their 1-800 number and they knocked off 18.00 from what the web site showed.ORDER DETAILS:

If theres a loss with your 26" then there will be with the SL as they tend to run almost 2" bigger then ML of the same size. ML run small by about .75 to 1" and SL run about 1 to 1.25" larger then the tires actual size. Both are good tires but I prefer SL for my riding conditions.

Because of the ***** they do throw a LOT of rocks and dirt up and as for wearing quick, I was worried myself about that but now that Ive racked up almost 1000 miles on them I am no longer concerned as they are showing very little signs of wearing and I would buy another set in a heartbeat.
