Default Aftermarket Rims??

Hello, I currently own a 2002 Kawasaki Mojave and would like to know if anyone here has aftermarket rims on there mojaves. I found out today that 8.5 inch wide rims are to narrow for 11 inch wide tires. I found a nice set of rims that fit on a Suzuki Ozark 250 but they will not fit on my mojave 250, I tested it. I need a 10x9 rear rim so if anyone has any suggestions for me please let me know. One question, how would you know if the rim on a website would fit your ATV? I know some websites you can type in your make and model of your ATV then it gives you your options but other websites do not. So how would I go about finding out if the rim will fit on my quad?? Thanks

I doubt 8.5" is to narrow for 11" tires.

First you need to consider bolt pattern. Does Kawi use the standard 144/4 front and 110/4 rear that Honda and Suzuki use (Yamaha marches to a different drummer)?

Then the second most important measurement will be the rim diameter....make sure your tire and rim diameter match. (The other sizes don't have to match exactly to what comes stock.) A 10X9" rim is 10" in diameter (tall) and 9" wide...so you would need something like a 20X11-10 tire.

I wouldn't worry about an 11" tire on an 8.5" rim.

Most aftermarket rims in 10" diameter are no more than 8" wide for the rear. 5" wide for the front.
