Pol 500 HO rear rims
#1
Gathering opinions/info on options for rear wheels of my '01 500. Replaced the fronts with Big Horns-love them, but they're not made for the stock size rear rim (10"). Seems I either buy new rims ($$) or just go with a different tire on rear. Comments/suggestions?

If you want to stay with stock rims on the front you can get 12" Polaris rear rims to match. You can get them in silver, black, or camo. The 10" and 12" rear wheels use the same exact bolt pattern and lug nuts. Then you can have Bighorns all around.
You could also put mud tires on the 10" rear wheels but I think you should use the same kind of tires all the way around.

You have to be careful and dont just buy a 12" wheel off of someone because it came off of a polaris they changed up the 500 Polaris mid year some had 4/4 bolt pattern on the rear before they changed them to 4/156</end quote></div>
According to everything I read it's the same 4/156 from 1996-2009 on every Sportsman except the old solid axle chain drive 400s. They used a 4/4 pattern and big fat lugs like all the other chain drives and you can see the difference at a glance. Any shaft-drive IRS Sportsman 335-800 wheels or Ranger wheels should fit.
