Shocks?????

What would be a good set of shocks for a
1996 Honda TRX400FW I checked out the 512 series
and they claim to give 1.25" lift with a much better ride but this comes at quite a cost are works shocks any better? My stock shocks seem soft these days and I figured if I can get a better ride and a little lift at the same time I may go for it. Thanks for any advice.
