Default polaris tyre sizes

Hi i have a polaris 700 and ive been thinking about getting new tyres.Im going to go the kenda executioners. When i looked at my tyre sizes i have 24x8x12 and on the back it has 25x10x12.Is there a reason it has smaller tyres on the front. My mates quads have 25s all round. The steering is very heavy and wanted to know would it matter if i put the 25s on the front and would it make the steering a bit easier. My mates quads dont have independent suspension so is that why they have 25s all round thanks

You must not have the stock tires. The stock sizes were 25x8x12 and 25x11x12, then when they switched to radial tires they were 26x8x12 and 26x11x12.

Mismatched tire sizes on a 4x4 is generally BAD....its hard on all the drive parts..at least ona trucks it is and can be catastrophic to transfer cases...most times they won't even roll due to the binding
