Maybe I would just do it on the back wheels only to keep the steering easy.

Imagine that would put some strain on power steering. Probably can't cut the steering as sharp. Nice for straight line action and mudding.

can't imagine how that setup would be useful in any way other than in mud. probably go through differentials, cv's & clutches on a regular basis too!

Could be faked and he just has extra ATV wheels sitting beside each wheel of the ATV.

But if you look close it looks like there is some kind of hardware holding those extra wheel to the inside wheels.

Might be a good idea on the Backs but not the fronts.

LOL thats cool. Hard to beat the traction of tracks. But the tire system sure is a cheaper option over the tracks. So would that be considered 8wd?

not as much weight per tire on the ground with 8 tires...would float well over soft stuff though...that is where 8 tires would have the benefits

It would be fun in a mud bog but it wouldn't fit down 99% of the trails that I ride.

Back in 1996, I actually saw a set up like that in Waynoka, OK, at Little Sahara Sand Dunes. A 500 Quadzilla had dual in back, regular knobbies with sand paddle tires on the outside. I assume it was to aid in flotation an keep it from digging in from all the hp of the big 500 2 stroke.
