new tires
#1
i've been looking for some decent tires for my KingQuad 500 but there's just so many options it's hard to pick, i've narrowed it down to 3 i'm considering but could really use some opinions
my riding is about 40% packed trail, 10% gravel road, 10% old rail line gravel and the rest a mix of mud and swamp
i'm trying to avoid having to get a lift kit or any major power loss and stick as close to stock size as possible which is 25 x 8-12 on the front and 25 x 10-12 on the rear
anyway the 3 i've been looking at are
ITP Mayhem which would be slightly bigger then stock but they look amazing and according to reviews should perform good in the swampy areas i get into
the second is the Maxxis Zilla which looks like just a alternative to the above but also have good reviews and are apparently lighter but i've heard they aren't quite as tough and read something about weak sidewalls
and my third option is the ITP mud lite XL, again great reviews and i have a friend that uses them and loves them but i think the 2 above would perform better but the mud lites are cheaper
also does any know if all these tires run true to size?

The Mayhems look like they wouldn't be a very smooth ride on the hard pack but you'd have to try them to be sure. They should be really good in the mud. I know the Mud Lites are good and I hear a lot of good things about the Zillas too.

looking at the mudlites would the XTR be better then the XL, from the pics they look pretty much the same except the XTR is radial but honestly don't know enough about tires to know how that effects them
really wish there was somewhere near me i could go and like test drive all these tires lol

I just put on Maxxis Zilla 26x9-12 fronts and 26x11-12 backs on my 350 and notice no power loss.
I like them, they are as light as smaller 25"x8-12 and 25x10-12 Mudlite "XL" I have on my 500. The Zilla's have a taller lug.
