Default 2013 Polaris 500 HO

I recently purchased a 2013 Polaris 500 HO it appears looking from the back that one side is higher than the other front looks straight but rear seems tilted slightly is this normal ? I measured the height from the ground up middle of rear tire to plastics and there is a 1.5 inch difference.

First off,may sound silly, but check that tire pressure is the same. This can affect the height. If tire pressure is at say 5 psi front and rear, check that the rear shocks are adjusted the same. Also check if the lower looking side rear spring is leaning inward, touching the shock body itself. This indicates a weak spring. Try adjusting the shocks up and see if this helps. If it doesn't may have a blown shock or weak spring on that side.

Just set the shock adjusters up and see if it helps first.

In your tool pouch is a spanner that adjusts the shock spring tension stiffer. The adjuster collar is right at the bottom of the springs.

I've had some tool kits that included the shock spanner and some that didn't. I bought one at a nearby motorcycle shop.

P.S. It was always easier for me to pull the wheels off and have more room for the wrench to turn.

If everything else looks ok in the rear suspension then probably a blown shock.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse
