Default Is my Fox 1.5 atv shock in need of a rebuild?

The rear shock on my 02 Scrambler is a Fox 1.5 atv shock. The nut on the bottom is turned up as high as it goes, so it is set as stiff as possible. The rear end sags about 1/2"-1" from the weight of the quad. When I press down on the grab bar, not to hard, it feels very springy and bouncy. If I get the back end bouncing, it will continue for a few seconds after I stop. If I put about 40lbs on the seat, the rear end drops about 3-4". When my Dad who is about 200lbs sits on it, the springs look almost fully compressed. Before I washed the quad with a power washer, there was oil on the shaft. So do I need to rebuild my shock. I apologize for the length and I apologize if there is a similar thread already out there.

Time to replace seals and oil and recharge the nitrogen. Most good motorcycle shops can do this and several online that you can send it to. Not anything that the average owner can do as special tools are needed. We rebuilt shocks mainly for our Ktms and a few Scramblers and it kept one of out techs pretty busy doing that. Most of the parts we used were from Race Tech.

Got the rear shock rebuilt. it is better, but still a bit soft. the guy did ask for my weight, height, and ride style, so im not sure if he revalved it for a person my size. with the adjustment nut on the bottom turned all the way up, the quad doesnt sag at all. with it halfway down, it sags about 1/8-1/4". so now my question is, do the scramblers just have a softer tail or did i get ripped off?
