Default Motor swap,

Hi guys, I need a little help,
I have a 99 Suzuki 500 quadrunner, unfortunately the motor blew big style! Big end bearing disintegrated throwing bits of metal everywhere! Crank, piston, and cylinder are toast! I have been offered an 09 450 King quad motor real cheap, question is will it fit in my quad? Hope one of you guys can help, thanks in advance

If it's cheap enough, pull out the old motor than set the new one in the bike, either it will be easy or not worth the trouble. I run into this question a lot as a boat builder. People want to shoehorn a 1200 hp diesel in where a 400 hp diesel came out. At least with diesels, we can compare CAD drawings.

Fitting it in the frame isn't a problem, but would prefer to know if drive shafts line up and diff gearing is the same before driving 400 mile round trip to go get the new motor! Lol
