ITP RACING WHEELS????
#1
Howdy,
I was wandering if anyone had them, and how they were holding up. I have a danaged front wheel and was thinking about a full set of front and rear. And if anyone seen them for a good price. I would be getting 10X5s and 10X8s for my Quadracer. Any help would be welcome.
Thanks, Danno

Not sure what you mean by "racing" wheels? ITP has a "competition" series of wheels with beanlocks, but I don't have any of those. If you are refering to the T-9 series, I have these on most of my sport bikes. There are two kinds: The "Edge" series has a rolled edge and hold up really well. The regular T-9 has a bell design, and the rim can get dinged because it is exposed a little. Anyway, I would recomend the Edge ones. They are a little more heavy, but also that much stronger.
Keep in mind that you can destroy any rim there is. My 16 year old has destroyed every rim ever made, including the stock ones with rolled edges! I on the other hand ride hard a$$ desert XC and rough mountain trails. Once in a while I will nick a rim, but I have never bent one so it was unrideable.

YZGUY,
The ITP wheels I'm talking about are the T-9 Compition wheels. They are the ones with the reinforcing rings welded on the inside and outside beads. They are not beadlock though. Denis Kirk shows a pic on page 131 of their 2001 atv catalog.
One of my fronts was bent bad enough that it lost air and had to be beat bock into shape with a hammer. Now it's kinda week there, and bending kinda easy.
I have Douglas red label on it now and I know what you are saying about dinged up. The best wheels I ever had on any of my quads were the stock wheels on my 86' 250R. Those ugly gold wheels took a beating and never had a problem.
Thanks Danno
