TCS rear shock work. What are your opinions?

Hey everyone. I figure that in the next 12 months or less, I might be able to, and it might be time, to send my rear shock off and have reworked. I would like to have the shock rebuilt, converted to dual-rate, and revalved to match my TCS fronts.
A few days ago, I called CT Racing and talked to someone about the shock work from TCS. It was something like $550 to get the work I wanted done. We didn't get into any extreme specifics, but I believe that the price was for everything I wanted done. I was wanting the dual-rate conversion, rebuilding, and revalving of my rear shock. Does this price sound right to you all? Also, what do you TCS rear shock owners feel about it? Do you like the dual-rate setup? Is all this work well worth the money? Or should I send my shock off, and have somewhere else revalve and rebuild it?
Any insight is GREATLY appreciated. I need help making a decision on this work. I want the money to be spent on something worthy. Thanks.

Yeah, man... I think YamahaRider is correct. It's like, $450 for the rear shock revalve and conversion to dual-rate. If CT is charging $550, don't buy from them... Check out K&K ATV Supply. They're price is $450. I have TCS suspension on my 250R, and the fronts are sweet, but TCS isn't able to convert the stock 250R rear shock to dual-rate. I've felt some 400EX rear shocks that were converted to dual-rate and they feel soooo much better. The conversion will be worth your $450. I'm considering saving up $850 and buying a TCS dual-rate rear shock for my 250R since they can't convert my stocker. Like I said, dual-rate is the way to go.

Thanks a lot for all your help guys. CT is charging $450 for the rear work, but I wrote down the price of the front work ($550) on accident. I'm wanting to get my fronts revalved and converted to triple-rate, and have my rear done as well. I believe that my a conversion on the rear will help make the fronts perform better. My fronts are awesome, but valved a little soft now.
My biggest problem right now is money, or the lack of. Since Publisher's Clearing House hasn't knocked on my door during the Super Bowl, and I haven't won the Powerball, I guess my wish list is going to have to checked off in steps.
