Whats the best way to repair my 4-ply Maxis/Razor,on my '86 TRX 250R..or should I get new tire? On my second ride (aprox.8 hours on tire)I put a stick right thru sidewall, resulting in a hole that took 3-4plugs to hold air & still leaks alittle while sitting.I want A better repair, will a tube hold??

It's best to replace the tire.

THat aside, the only possible remedy (I can think of) is to apply a vulcanizing patch on the inside of the tire along with a tube. I had one fixed like this in the past and had no further troubles with the tire. Keep in mind, this was for trail riding and no huge jumping was encountered.

Best thing to do is take it to a shop that will vulcanize a patch on the inside. Don't just put a tube inside without repairing the tire first. After the patch then try it without the tube. You might feel more confident putting a tube inside though.

You can try a tube, or just spend $50 on a new one and not have to worry about it.
