which tire out of the following is the best all around (ie. for mudding and hard dirt riding).

titan 589 (i have the 489)
vampires
mudrunners
triclaws

take into account that i do not have nor do i want a lift kit and i would prefer to stay in the 25x10x12 range or maybe a tad bigger.

Texascat,
In the September issue of ATV magazine they have a tire shootout. The Goodyear Mudrunners in 25 inch were rated the best all-around tire. They got a 9.5 in the mud, and a 9 on the trails. Hope this helps.

I have the run flat Mudrunners on my Rancher and just got back from a trail ride yesterday that started out with a steady rain that really made it slippery and got around real well and later in the it dried out fairly well and i was really happy with them as a trail tire. They do ride a bit firmer than the stockers but, handle alot better in the turns.
Good lucj on your pick of a tire.

I think the standard Mudrunners should be fine. I have the regular Mudrunners on my kodiak and have never had a flat. I found the best price on Mudrunners at Treadepot.com

I personally recommend the 589's. They perform in the mud sorta like a vampire but have a better ride. Also might want to consider mudbugs.
