Does anyone run Burgard A-arms on their quad? I am considering buying a set. I do a lot of jumping, and I don't want to have wimpy A-arms. Any opinions would be appreciated greatly.

I put Burgard +2's on my 400ex about 2 months ago and am happy with their durability so far. If you never broke a stock arm, I don't think you'll have
a problem with these. I'd have to put some more time on them to give my opinion on the balljoints-but they appear to be pretty beefy also. Someone
had a post on aftermarket a-arms sometime in the last month or so and did quite a bit of research on the specifics on about a half dozen of the more
popular a-arms. Look around a bit, it was very informative.
Final note- the front a-arm mounts on a 400ex will interfere with the zerks
on the Burgards. YOu either have to grind the mounts a bit, or get some allen
head plugs to ride with, them put the zerks back in when you grease the bushings.

I know a guy at the local races that bent his Burgards (both lower arms), and he isn't really that aggressive of a rider. I am in the same position - looking for +2s, but unsure which ones to go with. There must be some reason why Lonestars (which look VERY beefy) are $800 and at the bottom end, JD Performance arms are only $475.

I have only had my ex for 5 months, but I have bent the stockers fairly badly from jumping at my local practice track.

Any additional thoughts on tough but cheap arms would be greatly appreciated.

Z400-where did they bend? Lower shock mount? Something I'll look out for-
though I mostly playride and most B class riders would smoke me. Mine have
held up and the only complaint I have is the lower grease fittings-which is
really no big deal.
Mitch400ex-let us know what you get and what you think of them. Good luck.

I've got a set of Burgards on my Banshee.

So far so good. The worst part about them was having to ream out the ball joint mount on my spindles so they would fit. Also, there are NO grease zerks on them. So the maintenance chore is going to be that much worse.

They won't work very well with the stock shocks. All the paint is worn off the bottom of my frame from bottoming out. Luckily my Elka's just showed up UPS today! I can't wait 'til 5 o clock!!!
The wider a-arm smooth out the ride so much, it is like night and day. With these new beefy shocks, it should be awesome.

I used Burgard a-arms for 2 years without any problems. Whatever you buy, don't get Lonestar, I wrecked mine in a gravel pit crash!!

Burgard A arms are $hit, I bought a set and they didn't even fit, they were a good 1" off were they bolted up to the frame. And the worse thing is they charged me a 10% restocking few to send them back. They are a bunch of a holes over there and I would strongly advise not doing any buisness with them!!!
