What Size Rims and What tires for 2001 Blaster
#1
What size rims and what tires would be good for a 2001 blaster. I mostly go on trails with a lot of mud and rocks, occasionally dirt roads and stuff. I was thinking holeshots xct or what about turftamers, shredder, or razr I only need rear tires one of my stock ones caught a hole and I figured I might as well just upgrade the tires and rims. I just don't want anything too heavy so please give me some recommendations. I need to know ASAP because I want to go riding within the next week with some people and I won't be able to if I don't get the rims and tires. Thanks

ITP Holeshot XC's or XCT's are to heavy and/or tall for the Blaster. Get the Standard Holeshots (2-ply, 21" front/4-ply 20" rear). They are reasonably light, and match the Blasters handling characteristics very well. Note that the Standard rears do wear out kind of fast, because I think they are made of a softer rubber.
We run 8X8" ITP rims, which have a 3+5" offset (I think stock and Douglas have 4+4 offset). This will give you a couple extra inches of width in the back, plus the Holeshots are wider than stock and have a square profile unlike the balooney stock tires. In the end, you will have a much more stable machine!!!
