Anybody know of a rear tire that's the best for a raptor that rides trails?

Dan I trail ride regularly with my Raptor. I run a 22" (actually 20.5" tall) Bandit XC's. They have a little extra height than the stockers, but not overly tall like other brands in the 22" version. The Bandit rears slide awesome and hook good too. Small mud holes maybe 3/4 up on the tire is no problem for the Bandit rear. Wear seems reasonable and the stiff tire handles better too. I plan on buying another set of Bandit rears when necessary.
On the fronts, I have the same 22" Bandit XC's. I would not recommend this tire. Steering is no longer precise. The front end "hunts" around at high speed. This is almost unnoticable, but clearly there. The new 23" Bandit has a "rounded" profile that may be the trick. I repeat "may". I am gonna get a set of 20" Holeshots for the front soon.....that will match up fine with the so-called 22" rear Bandit.
If you ride an 01 with the stock axle, and you are getting rims also, get an additional inch offset for the rear. The 2 extra inches is a world of difference for the rear.

Thanks guys. I dug up a few old quad magazines of mine and found an article with a review on the Bandit XC's. They gave a thumbs up on the xc's as a good trail rider tire. It's hard to decide on what I should get; the all traks or the bandits? I do ride in the mud quite a bit too. Hmmmmmmm.........

i was really surprised of how much meat were on the all traks. where i ride theres alot of woods and mud and the tires havent let me down yet. the tires are 2 ply but they are a very strong tire. i even called maxxis on these tires and there cross country riders use them. just my two cents. dan

I have Razrs all around on my Mojave. At top speed I can still slide and steer fine. They are great tires, and they seem to be holding up fine. For a higher speed machine the front tires would be even better.
