I'm getting ready to order some new tires for my Kaw 650. Since we ride heavily wooded terrain with lots of hills, handling is extremely important. Therefore, I have ruled out oversized tires as well as the river and windy creek beds - I tired oversized last year and about killed myself in the woods. I have narrowed my selection down to three tires Maxxis All-Traks, Maxxis Sur-Traks or Kenda Bear Claws. They will be mounted on a set of Bead-lock .190 Douglas Aluminum Wheels. I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks!

I have Sur-Traks on mine,, and I'm very pleased with them...
I'm also a heavy woods rider,, they have never let me down,,,
The only draw back is that they are 2 ply,,,I have them all slimed
and have never had a problem on the trail,,,,, once when i ran over a bottle hidden in the snow,,sliced tire pretty good , but that would have happened reguardless of type of tire...Keep in mind that they are directional tires,, I nosed in a swamp to pull out a two wheel drive
and tried to back out,, tires turned into slicks,,,I got out , blew the mud off the tires and backed in same spot and yanked him out with out a problem...

Thanks wolverine51, I'm leaning towards one of the Maxxis tires.

The Bearclaws are very good tires with excellent traction and a VERY duable 4ply tire.

I just hung up the phone from my dealer and I order the Maxxis All-Traks. That's what I had on my 650 before the Warn winch I just had installed burned down my house. Anyway, I decided to stay with the All-Trak 'cause I had no complaints about them so I decided to stay with them. Thanks for everyones feedback.
