I have a Suzuki LTF 500 4x4 with 25x8x12 stock tires/rims on the front and 25x10x12 stock tires/rims on the rear. I want to put the Gator 26x10x12 on the front and 26x12x12 on the rear, using the stock OEM rims. This is the closest size I can get the 26" Gators in. Has anyone done this? Will this work or create some problem? If this works, I will have some good OEM Dunlops to get rid of.

I don't see why you would have any problems as far as your ATV being able to perform with those tires. I don't know if you would have any rubbing issues, but if you don't with the 25's I doubt you would with 26". I have a very similar setup to you with 26's. I don't have any trouble. Turning the wider tires isn't as easy, but it's a trade off for more rubber. Have fun with your new tires! Chris

Thanks for the reply BigBearChris!

I'm not concerned with the larger diameter because I feel I have plenty of clearance diameter wise. My concern is the 2 inch wider tire than stock on the stock rims. It does appear there is enough clearance even with the wider tire, but I wondered if anyone has done this and whether or not they had any problems. Also, will the tires look too wide for the rims? Will there be a problem mounting the tire on the rim? I do not want to install a lift kit or wheel spacers.

No problem, I'd be very surprised if you would have any issues with the tire mounting. Even though it's 2" wider, it's only going to stick 1" further out either side of the rim. That's not that much at all if you think about it. The back tires I wouldn't worry about at all. The only worry I'd have would be the front and whether or not you have enough clearance when turning. If you look at your ATV in the front, just see if you have an inch or more to spare, I'd say you would. I also don't think your tires will look too wide, in fact, it'll probably look better, IMO. I like the 12" wide look in the back more than the 10" I previously had. I compare it to big trucks with pizza cutter tires on them, looks weak. Put some wider tires on, much more aggresive look. Have fun with your new tires! Chris
