Spider trac for Grizzly question
#1
Anyone has Spider Trac 25x12,5x12 on ITP C series rims on 02 Grizzly 660??? I am not sure, if this setup isn't tooo wide./C rims off set?/.
Also I am about to get Titan 25x8x12 489A/T front tires for the same quad.Spider tracs are 9.5" wide,no good for the narrow techn. trails,I think.
I was dissapointed with the tire sizes...most 25" tires are smaller, and I needed a wide tire for the rear/tippy Grizz./ and narrow tire for the front.....non aggressive...nothing available!!I have to go with 2 different brands.....would you believe it??????/

i dont know if this helps but i got the 589's-27-9-12 up front and the 27-11-12 for the rear on the itp c-series and on the back the tires stick out about 2 inches past the fender. The tires do not rub though.Hope this will help.

the sticking out is not too much for me. Still fits into my truck and it will also make it more stable. Besides that it looks AWESOME! Downers grove? thats not very far away. Im working in burr ridge at seven bridges. heard of it??

I bought the Spider tracs 25"; 9,5 front,12,5 rear.First ride
and the unbelievable happened.I BENT a right tie rod /with my hands on handelbars/when I was trying to get out of deep rut....did not hit anything, the rod has no sign of any previous damage.
I just turned the handelbars and felt something wasn't right.....yeah, one wheel all the way left and the other one all the way to the right.3 miles in difficult trail.Broken quad ,no help only my wife./.
I managed to bend/kind of/ the rod back several times and get it out on a county road,re- bend it again and drive it back home another 12 miles /flat surface,no problem/.Now I can use the tie rod for a bow hunting.....
Should I still like Grizz's weight,one of the main reasons why I bought it?????????Bent rim,bent tie rod,sagging floor boards,etc.,etc.,
Well, you make pretty expensive junk Yamaha.
I had,as I stated here a couple of times,99 SP500 before. Had no problem with it ever, and I beat it up,5000 miles no problem/actually we had 5 Polarises in past 5 years,my wife still has 325 Magnum 4x4/.I hope Yamaha will fix all these problems in 03.
Should I try Arctic Cat next time????/only IRS for me/.
