I just put a set on the front of my 400EX and they seam to carve pretty well on hard pack and loose soil but push a bit through the deep mud,
(but if you find a tire that won't let me know)
so far I like them.

I HAVE RAZRS ALL THE WAY AROUND ON MY 400EX AND THAY DO ALOT BETTER THEN ANY OTHER MX CROSS COUNTRY LOW CUT TIRE LIKE. wHAT I MEAN IS THEY DO ALOT BETTER THEN HOLESHOTS, OR SHEDDERS BECAUSE OF THE MORE OPEN TREAD PATTERN. i HAVE HAD MINE FOR 4 MONTHES AND LIKE THEM THE BEST THEY ARE THE BEST TIRE I HAVE TRIED SO FAR.

i do know one thing holeshots don't go at all in the snow so if you think they do they don't. i don't know how good shredders and razars go but how closly they are designed i bet they don't either. but they do go in hard park dirt and mud really really well.

dont buy blackwaters
i put them on my 300ex and they were gone in a matter of 6 months which isnt bad but did they blow in the snow. i couldnt even go on the roads AFTER they were plowed
i just ordered 4 bandit tires
2 front and 2 rear
im hoping they will go good in coal and loose rock

Almost any aftermarket tire will weigh more than the stockers on the 400EX, but do you notice the weight? New tires provide more traction and durability but does the added weight hurt performance? I don't really want to add weight but if it's no big deal, I'll stop worrying.

Which ply Razrs did you get? If I got Razrs (also would consider Holeshots), I'd get 4-ply rears but I'm not sure about fronts? 2-ply or 4-ply fronts?

Here's my 2 cents. After many, many tires punctured and/or knocked off of the rim, I just buy 6 ply and live with the extra weight, and rougher ride. The speed you loose from the tires(unless they are mud tires) is worth not having to carry inst-spare every time you leave the yard.

For all you guys that own razrs how do you like them and how long do they last. I keep buying the stock honda tires for my 250r. they really suck. they last forever but dont get any traction. Im wondering if razrs will last one and a half years and if they are worth the money.

For all you 400EX owners with aftermarket tires, do you notice the weight increase when switching to new tires? That is the only thing I would be concerned about, weight.

I was going to get the Razers but then read alot of good things about the Bandits so I got them for my Banshee and WOW these babies are beefy. Real deep tread and they bit great. Look at them before you get anything else...

Good Luck
