Default '02 suzuki eiger, want to get bigger tires, need advice

hey all i am new to this board and like it alot so far...i have a 02 eiger 4x4 400 and i like the stock tires but i like the wide stance look of the bigfoot kits i see in the magazines...the thing i am concerned about is damaging my drivetrain or any type of bearings or the trans...i have heard from some people going with bigger tires doesnt hurt anything but alot more have said it isnt good...thanks for any advice i really appreciate it!

Over sized tires are pretty hard on the drive train components. Consider upgrading to a more agressive tread pattern in the stock size (ITP 589, Goodyear Mudrunner or Titan 589). You will notice a HUGE difference.

I would go up to a 26" tire, its a perfect size for the Eiger. I dont believe it will hurt your drivetrain, unless you like popping wheelies and stripping spider gears out of your rearend. Im thinking about buying some Vampire ASX, 26-9.50-12 x 26-13-12 there a very nice tire. You wont be satisfied with 25"! Oh and your rim size is 12".
