I've got an 03 Arctic Cat 400 4X4, it has the stock junk Dunlops on it. I'm looking for opinions on the Titan 589. Are they a good all-around tire? Should I go with the 6 ply. These dunlops make the front end seem soft, even with the spring rates turned up, I have to do something. Any other suggestions. The consensus around here is to go "Mud Bugs". I don't want what every one else has got.

Whatever you buy, make sure you get it in a 6ply. I personally would stay away from the 589's simply because of the round face they have when mounted when compared to mud bugs or gators or any other mud tire. I have more buddies that have complained that the 589's dug them into a hole in the muskeg more times then not due to the small surface area contacting the ground. If everyone runs mudbugs around you then it is probably a proven tire for your area. Depending on how aggressive a tire you are looking for, maybe try running a 6 ply bearclaw tire It is a very good tire for all around riding.

The question is "what kind of riding are you doing"? Makes all the difference of tire selection.

I have been very happy with the 589's that I have on my Grizzly. I ride on many different surfaces, from sloppy mud to hard pack to slippery rocks in deep water river crossings. More often than not I get where some of the other guys I ride with have a difficult time getting. In fact many of my friends have gone out and purchased a set of 589's for themselves after watching how well I 've done with mine. Other then the fact that they are not true to size(my 27" Titans actually stand a little under 261/2"), they have all been very happy with their performance.

got friends that have the 589 m/s and love them tried the 589 m/t's myself got my money back they rode hard and had alot of wobble the Vamp's are very good helped my Arctic 454 4wd (was very lose stock tires had very soft sidewalls) and had great traction, but the best all around tire I have had is the Rad outlaws they are awesome! a bit pricey but worht it in my book

hey grizrick did you reclutch your grizzly after putting on the 27 inch tires and if not did you notice the difference in lost accelaration and top end speed. i was thinking of putting on a pair of 27 inch 589 ms on my 02 grizzly and was wondering what the performance would be for normal driving not just in the mud>
