Sand mountain camping
#1
Is there somewhere close to sand Mountain NV where we can park the camper, but not be so close as to hear the bikes all the time? My wife thinks camping has something to do with peace and quiet but I would like to be close enough to be able to ride to the dunes. I havn't been to S.M. yet, " I have just recently gotten some machines for the first time since the early 90's" but I used to go to Glamis when I lived in S.D. If it is a 10th of what that is I might get her there oncew but never again!!!!
Marraige is the art of compromise after all and a nice camping spot where I can still ride to the sand would be perfect!!!!
Thanks
Chris

there is really no where to park where you won't hear the bikes, but if you go on an off weekend don't worry about it, just park next to the fence when you pass the pay station, it won't be loud at all

If you see it that way you should take her to Glamis on New Years..."since everyone is at home enjoying thier Christmas vacation"...she can enjoy some peice and quiet
As for Sand Mt. if you want quiet you might try going out on a wedneday in July...You'll have the place to yourself

Personnaly I loved glamis on new years weekend but I am a bit of a gluton for punnishment. I think maybe we should take a couple of short day trips and get her to where she loves it then maybe she will not mind the noise so much!!!
Thanks guys
