Has anyone had any trouble with the rangers at Pismo because of red sticker registration? I have heard conflicting reports about enforcement of the red sticker riding season.

 

red sticker? You only get a red sticker if you bought a quad after jan 1 2003 not all quads come with a red sticker. My cousin with a banshee had a red sticker and dmv sent him a green one because of the new rule or law.

 

I 2nd that Scoot. But I have never seen a ranger check,Yet that is. Keep it kool and obey the laws and I think you will be ok.

 

Thanks, well aware of the red sticker regs, more interested in the enforcement at this time. My wife rides an 03 blaster and we are planning to ride Pismo in August. I plan to take the blaster and hope we won't get hassled about registration. We rode the Foresthill OHV park in June and the ranger was checking everyones registration at the staging area-luckily some idiot rode through the staging area and out onto the paved rode with the ranger in hot pursuit so he paid no attention to our quads. It really bites that an 02 and older gets a green sticker and 03 and newer get red(good news for all the older red sticker bikes!)same bike different standards-gotta start somewhere I guess.

 

Nobody ever checks.

 

just like outofcontrol said as long as you obey the rules and keep it cool you should be fine. I have never been stoped at pismo so they could check my sticker.
