good sandrail sites?
#1
Post any good sandrail boards, or sites. I already visit glamisdunes.com, but any other sites would be great.
I am looking to build a long travel 4-5 seater, and I dont have $60,000 or more to just throw down for one. If anyone has access to plans to build one, I would love to get some. I have the tools, mig, tig, about every hand tool, most power tools, about the only thing I am missing would be a tubing bender.
Anyway, thanks for any links or ideas.

I do most of my reading on Glamis dunes as well. I have not ordered but I check these guys out http://www.dansperformanceparts.com/.
I would recomend buying a frame complete, I have built Pre runners, have a tubing bender etc. but with all the A-Arm and trailing arm geometry, I figured leave it to the pros.
I am working on a SU 4/5, I have got most of the front end parts in, I have done most of the tabbing myself, got a line on a motor and now saving for a tranny. I have been working on it sense Dec. and it does get frustrating from time to time, nothing worse then going through the garage every day and looking at it just sit there. I have gone through selling it like 3 times already, so don't get discouraged. I know it will be worth it once I am running the bowls.
I have some links at work, if I remember monday I will put them on here.

Thanks yfzn, I added that page to my favorites and will check it out when it is not this late. I will probably purchase a frame, just having a hard time deciding which one. I kind of like the funco, also the tatums, and most of the other big names around.
I guess I need to save up more pennies so I can get a chasis ordered. If you can get those links I would appreciate it.
Thanks

IM not as tallented as these other guys, but here is a link site as well. It is for OFF Roading, but there is some buggy suppliers as well
http://www.prospectator.com/links.htm
Also another good sorce for misc parts is WWW.jegs.com You can request a catalog. I used them for guages, switchs and probably the Radiator when IM ready. They have good prices for the misc stuff.

Question: What's the best way to become an ATV enthusiast?
Answer: Build a dune buggy!
I did that once and it took me about 6 or 7 grand, ten million hours of labor, and a whole season to work out the bugs (broke a few trannys etc) and most of the time I watched all the guys on those new 4 wheeler contraptions just kick start and ride. It was fun and fast and cool looking and all that, but a black hole that sucked cash and time. Best part was, I sold it for like 2 grand. What a fine investment. The way to do one of those is buy one some guy is already taking the huge beating on and mod it to your liking. Good luck if you are crazy enough to wade in.

I am crazy enough to wade in. But I will do it right, I prefer to do things right the first time, which usually means more up front money, but less down time and money in the long run.
I will keep my atv's, they are all paid for and mine, why sell them.
I will most likely purchase a chassis from one of the bigger sandrail manufacturers and then build the rest up from there.
Anyway, thanks for the links guys, now back to work.
