Default Jumping Quads at Pismo

Hey, I ride at pismo dunes all the time. I've been riding there for about 3 months (which is how long i've had my quad) and i can do everything ne body else can do except jump. i get about 2 feet of air and that's it. I go faster and I don't get any higher, i just go farther. Can anybody help me? i know what pre-loading is, and i try to do it, but it just doesn't seem to work for me. if anybody can give me any advice i would really appreciate it. thanx!

i was out there today and i found 5 or 6 dirtbikers who were gettin like 10 feet of air off of this one dune. there was some guy on a suzuki 400 gettin 3 or 4 feet of air. I was jumping the dune in 4th gear and i was gettin about 2 feet of air. when i hit it in 3rd gear i was gettin the same height, i jus didn't go as far. i realize that i'll never be able to jump like the guys on dirtbikes, but i'd at least like to get high enough to do something more than jus no-footers.

if you want to go higher, find a steeper dune, thats not hard at Pismo
