Default 4 paddle tires on 1 atv????

i was out at the dunes a few weeks ago and i saw the stranges thing, there was a guy on a utility 4x4 quad with 4 paddle tires. they were GBC sand sharks by the look of em. has ne body in here every done that? i realize that it makes sense for a 4x4 to have 4 paddles, but what about handling? he could probably power up ne hill in 1st gear, but could he do donuts if he wanted to?

i've seen this several times, i don't see any special hill climbing happening but i do see a lot of sand flying, even on the driver. what did see that seemed to help was a set of the razors up front and this lady went in to a bowl and you could see those things actually help pull her quad out and i didn't see sand getting thrown all over her.

ya, razors in front seems to make more sense than paddles. when i saw the guy he was riding right along the edge of the ocean, so the sand was wet and hard so it wasnt' flying.

I saw this on a scrammy but it seems like a gimmick cause if you go up a steep hill there's not much weight on the front and scrammy's are not made for dunes anyway, but he got a lot of looks.
