Are we talking one-off sand machines? If so, Bob Russell's TZ750 motor'd Banshee framed machine with nitrous was pretty much the fastest machine one the west coast. This was back in the early '90's. Not sure what else came out after that.

Bob Russell cant hold a candle to the west coast machines now.

And the legend is nothing more then a fairy tale. He dug his own grave

 

my 86 250r with a rubber mounted 95 ported and milled cr500 and a wesco piston, long arms w-tcs tripple rate and resyes built just for dunning and hillshooting, and yes it has frunt brakes.
