did ne body make it out to pismo last weekend? i went up there with a newly rebuilt buggy. actually, we were working on it until the time we left. we got up there about midnight, then woke up at 6 to finish the electrical, to find out that we needed new eye-bolts to mount the seat belt. we got the thing ready to go about 1 pm and headed out. within the first hour of us being there we had already blown the 2 rear shocks. we found some good dunes to jump, got maybe 2 feet of air and a bolt dug into both rear shocks. apparantly, the guy we got the buggy from, had 4 shocks on each tire, so the suspension was stiff. we used about half the travel in the shock, and a bolt that was too long (the the other guy put on) ripped a hole in one shock, and bent the other one. we went the rest of the day with no rear suspension! other than that, the weekend was fun. we spent sunday fixing the dune buggy, and doin matenance on the 400EX. how was ur guy's weekends?

I was there from Friday about 4pm until 1pm Sunday.

Had a pretty decent time. Pretty large group (for us) came up so that made it pretty cool. Got a couple more people into the sport. You give em a free taste and they are looking to buy before they leave the sand.

Unfortunely a total of 7 people from our group got injured in some way (only 3 were because of Quads). Quadzilla took out 2 people (one pulled something trying to start it (Sat. Morn.) and the owner got a foot ran over on Sunday shortly before we left. The other one was hurt when a throttle stuck loading a Quad Sport 250 and went off the ramp on a toy hauler. (Lesson to people...loading is DANGEROUS!)

i WAS THERE THIS WEEKEND,BLACK AND RED RAPTOR WITH BLACK RIMS,HAD A GREAT TIME AND THE DUNES WERE BEAT UP...

yea that was me,trying to catch up you mean..lol those were some sweet bikes,those were the only ones giving me problems,next time come say hi...

bike was running real good,need to work on that take off with that stock swingarm and haulers,it's a biatch..... did you ride at all..

 

the honda i saw beating you was a 330 bolt on esr on gas. He got you by a bike to two bikes most times. Yeah, your bike was wheeling pretty tough.

I didnt race this weekend, im sure we will meet up soon.

Problem with the built raptors out there is they look mostly stock for the most part so its hard to just point out and say "HEY THAT LOOKS LIKE 03" to where you could point a drag honda out a mile away and still know who it is. Get a name plate or something would ya...

 

yea i will look into that,but if you look close my is pretty easy too see,it's a little diffrent then most,anyways the one with out the swingarm seemed a little faster than the one with the extension,i see them out there pretty much, yea it's funny about the raptors,there are so many...Next trip is to Glamis for halloween,see you later..

 

Went out on Saturday with my family and rode for a few, cruised the Jeep...crazy fog out there...

The pipes are on order, getting the spare head reworked. Next will be finding a set of stock jugs. What are you and Russ working on now?
