I want to head down to Sand Mountain for Christmas. I do not really know too much about the area. How big is the riding area? What are the facilities? What is the weather this time of year? I would like to stay in a motel for most of the time, are there any close. I assume Fallon is the closest city. How big is it? Any other info would also be great. Also, what is the elevation there? Thanks.

 

Sand Mtn. Has no hookups for rv's but two bathrooms. You can park pretty much anywhere. December you will have to watch the weather and it will be very cold at night. Try this for more info:Text

 

well i went down for labor day, and drove 10 hours get there and see this pile of sand to the left and think man did i drive all that time for this? well start the drive in and man that hill gets big as you get closer. if you like to drag race that is a great hill. if you like to ride oregon dunes are much better.
