twist throttle on a banshee...ouch!

if anyone is thinking of putting a twist throttle on ur banshee...forget it! i've tried it for a year now, and can't get used to it...i ride in sand only, and it is hard to shut it down when racing up a hill...i know the mx riders like em, but i can't deal with it on my shee!...anyone else use one?

i was a die-hard thumb throttler until my last rebuild. went to a motion pro vortex twist and never going back. it too kme about 3 rides to get used to it and now im never going back to thumb. i still have a little problem if im standing up

well, i did prefer it on my lt250r, but the banshee is a little too snappy, especially since I had my motor reworked...thumb throttle is going back on today, and then I'll whip out my can of woopazz!

I fooled around with different thumb throttles and extensions trying to find the right throttle control. Even tried a jet ski throttle (perfect for drags!). Put a new twist on my boy's CR125 and while I was riding/adjusting, it felt natural as could be. Put one on the Raptor and took a quick spin, way more throttle control. Haven't had a chance to test it on a track but the last time I dreamt about MX, it felt pretty good:-)

i used to have a twist throddle on my banshee, it was not working for me, went to the dunes hated it, but i guess its the riders opinion.

My first mod is to lose the thumb throttle. It's much harder for me to control a bike with one compared to a twist. Twist is great!
I firmly believe that thumb throttles are made so your girlfriend can ride over to the toilets w/o killing herself.
