Wet Sand...
I run Mohawks on front. Rear paddles will dig a jump down quick and you must have alot of speed up a dune to jump off of and throttle control is critical...... Nobody in our group runs paddles, including the wives. Z400's help and so does their excellent riding skills. Most guys that ride w/ our wives are amazed at how well they ride. It's all about momentum and knowing what to do. If you're a rookie or on a lower hp machine like a Warrior or 300ex then paddles are a must, but I see alot of these lower hp machines running 8 paddles which is waaay to much at our elevation of 5000ft. In wet sand they shouldn't be running paddles period.

Wet sand and paddles = horrible riding...... People think because they ride on sand they need paddles. I ran up Utahs, Sand Mtn when it was a little moist on my bro's cam modded YFZ w/ no paddles against three piped Banshee's w/ paddles and I absoulutley smoked them. The paddles were robbing hp while I was just motoring on up w/ no drag on my run..
