Default Help re:silver lake this year!!!!

Im planning on going to silver lake dunes this year with my brother and a buddy. My question is that I have an 87 250R with an FMF fatty and Turbine core 2. I hear there is a decible test at the gate, and I dont want to drive the 15 hours from southern ontario just to be turned away. Anyone else running this setup have any problems with admission? We are planning a week long trip this summer sometime. also what do I need to purchase (permits, passes, flags, paddle tires, etc..) and how much will it corst me?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

noise limit is 96db. you will need a michigan orv sticker-16 bucks, flag-25, and i think you need a parks sticker for your vehicle if you want to park inside. those can be bought per day, week, or year and are pretty cheap.

You'll need fresh packing. You should be right around the 98db limit. I run fmf fatty and fmf silencer on my 86 atc. When packing goes sound goes up. I've been tested at 108db. New packing 98db. I also have an lrd quiet silencer just in case but haven't used it. Its 2 silencers made into 1. Ugly to say the least. My atc is a ported 270r.

T he sound check is random, you should not have to worry about it untill maybe the weekend. You will nees a spark arrester, they check that when you enter. I went to silver 10-15 times last year and only got checked once.

Like everyone said-
Flag $25
MI ORV sticker $16 to $17
Daily pass for tow vehicle and quads-$4each
or you can get a pass thats good for a year for $20, but you need one for each vehicle/quad.

For around $40 you can get a nifty DB meter from your local Radio Shack. They're the same units w/ use when testing for articles. Eliminate the guess-work.
