boycott of Glamis Beach Store?
#1
Can anybody tell me about a boycott of the Glamis Beach Store? Heard many things about it but the www.boycottgbs.com website doesn't come up so I couldn't read anything. I am a little confused as to how the GBS can drive the vendors out from BLM land. Wondering if anybody knew anything about this.

yah, from what I have heard....... the GBS somehow controls the Vendor Flats rent. my brother was talking to a vendor that told him that thier rent went from $20k to $40k and that the store can't kick them out but can raise the rent. they want all the business for themselves. was there for 4 days during President's and there were quite a few missing vendors..... don't know how true all that is, just going off of what I have been told, but given how greedy the store is, It wouldn't surprise me.

1. The G store owners are Aholes and do not support duners.
2. they had a heavy hand in deciding or swaying the fee's for vendors.
Do a search here: http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index.php and you will get plenty of info.

Sounds like the store has in it's contract a clause that allows it to have exclusive rights to retail services within the park and it offers subleases to the other vendors and part of the clause is they can remove them or take away their selling rights in the park. We have the same type of vendor set up at one of our local reservoirs. It's all part of them doing business

i have been in there 3 times and never bought a damm thing, they raise the prices worse than anybody i have ever seen, and that is not fair the can inflate the prices to where it's ridicoulous..
