I could have sworn that someone posted a pic of a rap w/ an R1 (or at least a liter motor) on this site some time ago.

The 04 R1 is designed to make 180 horsepower power at 12,500 rpm. As for top speed, That would depend on how you set up your gearing, but I wouldnt be surprised if that thing could go well over 100mph

top speed on an R1 is anywhere from 150-160 I'm guessing. i'm pretty sure the r6 is around 130-140. the weight of an r1 is gonna be similar to that of a quad. i'd go as far to say that a quad with an r1 engine, geared right and on a good surface, should easily do 120 if not more depending on the setup. maybe i'm all wrong but ehh, who knows.

Depends on the year motor you are using. 98-01 (130-135hp) are carburated 02-03 are fi (135-145hp). The new 04 motors utilize ram air for their 180 hp rating. I'm thinking of doing this exact project also. I'm not sure which engine I will be using yet but it will more than likely be the 02-03 motor.

I currently own a 02 R1 and have hit an indicated top speed of 188mph. I'm thinking with the correction for my gearing it is probably about 170mph.

If my new high rpm Craycraft 727 doesn't scratch my itch, I'm putting a R6 motor in my Raptor.

The photoshopped Yamaha concept looks the best. That thing seems like it would be so much fun to ride. How tall do you have to be to ride a streetbike anyway? I've always loved the things but I'm only 5'3'' and I'm pretty much done growing. Want to either buy a YFZ450 or a CBR600F4i in the next year.

I am 6'2" and never had problems riding. I sold my GSXR 750 last summer to a guy who is 5'7" and about 130lbs. He jumped on the thing and tore off like a bat out of hell. You can pretty much tippy toe the sport bike due to the light weight. I work with a guy whos 5'5" and drives a full dressed harley. Talk about tip toes. He cannot even back it up so he has to be picky when he parks the thing
