Thanks for all the advice and offers to show us around! It's really cool that you guys are willing to help out us rookies!

We're really looking forward to our trip over there and meeting up with some of you. Once we finalize our plans, I'll let y'all know, and we can meet up for some riding. I can't wait to see how my new 450r is going to do out there!

We will be at Florence, May 6th - 9th, staying at Driftwood II Campground. Be sure and look us up (KFX700, KFX400, Predator, Blaster & Z250).

If you haven't made camping reservations yet, check into Driftwood II (Southern end of the Dunes). They have great shower facilities, and its only 50 yards to get onto the sand road leading to the dunes. You can do it by going to www.ReserveUSA.com, and checking into Driftwood in OR. You can also call them at ReservUSA, 1-888-448-1474. I would suggest doing it over the internet, if you feel comfortable doing so.

Hope to hook up with you.

Thats exactly where we are planning on staying. It's really nice to be able to just ride onto the dunes from camp. Which spot are you guys in? I'm thinking about grabbing #18. I like #21 better, but it's already taken...

Can someone tell me what St. Anthoneys is close to. I'm planning my trip for May as well and want to hit all the dunes I can.

While Idaho has several dunes, St Anthony's dunes are the only dunes that you can take OHV's on. However, if you are willing to drive, there are dunes in Utah, as well as south western Oregon. The ones in Utah are about 5 hours away from St. Anthonys, the ones in oregon are about 14 hours away...Then there's Glamis...

Right now my plans are to go to St A first then hit Oregon and down to Glamis. I may be able to hit Utah on the way back. Can you tell me where the dunes are in Utah?

I still don't know where St. Anthoneys is though. Other than Idaho.

Holy cow. Thats now THAT's a road trip!

St. Anthony's DUNES are on the eastern side of Idaho, just west of the town of St. Anthony. If you have a GPS, you can do a search on here for the coordinates, or go to wyoduner's website....although, a MAP might be a good investment...

I just looked it up on the internet. It's on Hwy 20, I've probably driven past it a dozen times on my way to Calif. I'll be there in May.

acually, there are two sand dunes that you can ride on in idaho. the other is called lake channel. small, but a cool place to ride if you have never been there. its a small canyon filled with sand. the sand drifts up the side. makeing some interesting climbs.
