I just bought a raptor and i was wondering where I can find a good deal on sand tires (looking at the new sand stars i think their called). Also, what kind of wheels should I get? A kid I know told me to get some cheap douglas wheels because they really don't get to abused anyway. What are your opinions? I really want to get up to silver lake this summer and see how it is.

Any paddle is better than any knobby in the sand. I run .160 douglas instead of .125 just in case but you are in a more forgiving surface so his advice is pretty correct.

rockymountainatv.com They will hook you up with the best deal, cheap shipping as well. .125's if you are light and not planning on doing alot of jumping, otherwise the .160's will work better.

Never heard of a comp cut. Must be one of those west coast sand things. Sand stars will work fine if you are just going to be riding for fun and not racing. If you want to beat your friends, get a set of skat track haulers. There are a few different kinds, but they are the best sand tires on the market, imo.
