I'll call Curtis tomorrow and ask him if he does more than one CRF450 in a 400EX frame.

amazing i thought the 4 strokes were still a few years awayfrom reaching for the top, seems they are getting faster by the week, not that there to the top yet but from where they were two years ago is staggering.

Your talking a 450cc 4-stroke on nitro in a xulw drag chassis with a titanium swingarm, ect compared to my gas 370 in a stock geometry honda frame. To compare the two isnt what id consider equal, but the fact remains its the hardest running 4-stroke that ive seen

ive seen 2 or three of those putting around local riding areas, 1 was a 400ex frame with a crf450 engine, one was a 250r frame with the crf, they ran on gas, not alcohol. i raced them up a little hill and i still got the crap kicked outta me on my 450r, and i can only beat them by like half a bike length on my 310r. are the crf450 engines that good? they were even getting me off the line, judging by the bore and stroke the trx should be faster out of the hole. i cant even imagine what it would have been like on alcohol. plus sparks does REALLY good work and hasnt he been playing with like 13.8:1 and 14:1 compression pistons like that? any one know how it stacks up against the sparks 335pv 250r motor? i saw one of those at silver lake last year and it was just embarassing banshees
