Boy! They must have seen you comin, because I bought the exact same tires on the .190 rims for $240 including shipping. The only other tires I've run were sand skate II's and they suck. I'd get stuck at sandlake just taking off. I love the Haulers, they hook great and I can pull most hills in 3rd, really steep ones in 2nd with a bone stock 400ex. I've been running them for about 6 months now, damn near every weekend and they still look pretty new.

Where are you riding at? The type of sand your riding on makes a big difference... St. Anthony is a very dry and powdery sand, and you'll need alot of bite, so your 10 paddle might not be too bad, but there's other factors.

First of all, how much HP do you have? If your bikes been built by a puppy shop, chances are it's not much stronger than 60HP or so.
SO with a 14/40, you'll probably be overpaddled. It'll dig really good out of the hole, but if you don't have alot of motor, you'll lose acceleration at higher speeds (The faster you turn them the harder they are to turn).. especially pulling a taller gear.

All my experience is with haulers, not the extremes, so I'd imagine they just amplify the situation.

If your not planning on drag racing or hill shooting, I'd buy something less.

Just my $.02

Check out the new STU SS2 they are the lightest molded v paddles out now. Less weight on tire means more power too the ground less strain on engine

If you are really that concerned with power loss and weight then why even get a v paddle? Get some skat traks and be done with it.
