who owns or has owned the fastest hillshooter quad or trike ever? just wondering... and has anyone ever raced "the legend" from dirtwheels?

 

I saw one the other day that has to be one of the wildest ever. 910cc twin 2 stroke Polaris sled motor on nitrous, making about 230 horsepower. Pulls Choke Cherry at 72 MPH (radar gunned) shutting it down 3/4 of the way up to hit the brakes.

If your average Banshee hill shooter was a 9.90 Pro Gas car, this was a Top Fueler. Unbelievable.

 

ya i no what your talking about i saw teh movie for that polaris quad or sled. u could see the dual exhaust and i was wheeling up the whole hill

 

Yeah, that video over on Dunereview is that same quad wheelying up the hill. The guy hates that video, he says he was just screwing around popping wheelies. When he lines up and shoots the hill it's a whole different ball game. Pretty nutty either way.

well tell us.....what did he say???

 

he said it had way too much power and that even with his extended swingarm he couldn't keep the front end down if he gave it more than half throttle. He was going to enter the drags but didn't for this reason, he did do some informal racing on the flats though and it was very fast. I asked how much power it had and he said over 100hp at the tires.

 

oh yeah and i believe the motor was built by Mp racing out of tigard oregon.

 

That must have been a different guy. This guy Norm builds his own engines, and in fact does porting and engine work for other people. This twin 2 stroke 910 he said is making about 230 hp.
