Default Q. about St. Anthony Dunes, ID

Hey guys or gals who knows those dunes, I'll be on S. Anthony Dunes in mid August, and like to know how strickly they enforce the 96 db noise limit over there? Where do you think is better to stay on my first trip to St.Anthony dunes, in one of the RV Parks or BLM camp? I don't need hook up for my trailer so badly. And whatever you guys can think off first timers need to know will help too. THX

Stay at the BLM camp if there's room.

Don't worry about the sound limit.

Have a flag and a helmet.

All the big dunes are off to your left but you'll know that soon as you get out there.

Rock out!

Desert Oasis is just a five minute ride from the lake and thunder, one of the race hills. If you want to sleep its a good choice. All the dunes drop off to the north. Many have lava beds in the bottoms.in the middle of the day the flat light is bad, be careful. The further to the west you go, the bigger the dunes get. Less lava to the west also.

Blm is my first choice . They do have patrols that ride the area and the parking area . There just trying to keep the peace and make sure you have a flag!!!!. The really cool thing about St.Anthonys is that it is over 15 miles long and on average a mile or so wide . So you dont have to worry about getting lost . theres a little sage and rocks on the outer edge and then farm ground . From BLM park most of the big dunes are to your left . How ever there are some nice dunes way off to the right if you cross the road and continue on east by southeast . .
There arent any hookup's in the BLM park . There is a small trailer in the Day use area
(The Pit Stop ) they have pop candy flags and a few part .
Let every one know when your going to be there . You might get a guided tour ~
