best 4 stroke duner

I've seen the video? Listen, I saw the videos, heard the legends, etc. Then I went to Idaho, (remember, my local sand is Jericho, Utah which is home to the best race hill in the country), We hit thunder and I thought nice hill, not that great, then choke cherry (not to mention the two biggest bowls Ive ever seen), which took 3 runs before I got out. I thought Holy shizz, then just for kicks we hit what I thinks is the baddest dune in the country, DEVILs. you live in oregon, go to st anthony, then feel free to write back in and admit what everyone who goes there admits, it isn't as big as Glamis(acreage), doesn't have as good of a comp hill as Jericho, but it is the best sand in the country if you like hills and bowls.
Argue all day, until you've seen it, and ridden it, you don't know shizz!!! He look, don't take my word on the best 4 stroke, fine. But look at the guys (locals) who ride the countrys biggest sand(utah and idaho) and see what they ride. Very few ds riders simply because of the motor doesn't make up for the weight. The raptor has the basic same size motor and weighs way less, the raptor has more mods that make it even more superior. Having said that, the yfz is probably still better. (it revs faster, and as much as I hate it, the two strokes still rule out here(shees and some 250rs) so the closer you are to one the better you are)! I'm not hating, come ride our sand, predkickazz is like the mayor of St. Anthonys, he'd be glad to demonstrate what I am saying im sure

i have yet to be beaten by a stock predator while riding my 450r. the reason being that i out accelerate them off the line and they are playing catch up after that. in a longer run then they would probably win (i weigh 200lbs so it slows me down a bit). as for hill climbing, i would rather climb a hill on a 450r than a yfz. the midrange hit on the yfz doesn't help much when downshifting because it tends to break traction. the smoother power of the 450r has never caused me problems. now i rode my friend's yfz for months before i bought my R, and i still prefer it. but he never has problems climbing anything i can climb on my R with his yfz.
i was out at jawbone canyon last weekend and there was a big sand hill, the sand was just about the same as pismo, and i ran up and down it all day long without paddles. the thing was probably 400 or 500ft. tall, but i'm not good at judging heights.

The pred would take the 450r in a longer drag...but the 450r would accelerate quicker cause of the weight. When I first got my yfz(stock) I was beating piped raptors and piped preds up comp hill at Dumont. It also helps that I'm 160 pounds lol. Weight and gearing are huge factors in dragging in the sand.

lol, my 450 basically has the HRC kit without the cam, and when i put it on VP fuels U4 race fuel and and tuned it, my buddy's completely stock yfz beat me. the guy weighs like 120lbs and i weigh over 200 with gear. he didn't beat me by much, but it was still depressing that i did all that tuning and spent so much on race fuel, to lose.

VP fuels U4 is only about 98 octane (if i remember correctly, i know it's not higher than that tho). the 450r is reccomended to run on 92 or higher. the real advantage to U4 on a stock bike is that it is super oxygenated. i had to re-jet to feel any difference. there's only so much air that can flow through the stock intake set-up, so using the U4 i was able to essentially get more air into the combustion chamber to get more power. it did help, but not enough to make it worth the money and time.
