A lot of it depends on whether you will run paddle tires or not, and if so what kind, size, and # of paddles. Typically you drop a tooth in the front (or the rear equivilent) when switching to paddles for extra low end to turn them.

Without heavy modifications and the increased horsepower that comes with it i dont think you would be too happy with 1 extra tooth on your front sprocket.Decreasing the size of your front from the stock size of 13 to a 12 would probably be a better choice for you.

Word to the wise
1 tooth in the front is the same as 3 in the back

i run 12/44 on 21/11/8 haulers,

you run 20 inch tires on that 12 tooth and youll loose a lot mroe than 3 mph top end.

344pv, i weigh 260lbs and my raptor will scream to the top of hill in 3rd, i can go up in 4th just not as fast. i put my 140lb girlfriend on my bike and she can run up hold in 4th screaming to the top. RAPFam says im still alittle low on my gers, he wants me to go back to the 13 front, but i think im going to leave i love it.

Rockingfigs, if all you are is a raceer, then why did you by Sand stars in the firs place, but yeah i highly recomment the 22 tires i love them, i had a set of 20's haulers, and swapped them out to the 22s did my sprocket change and i gained so much top it, its perfect.

22's will not clear the stock swingarm though, you have to remove your stock heel guards or atleast bend them out of the way, they will bend back and start eating away at your tires, i know this from experience.

hope that helps, PM if you need any direct answers
