I was kidding about the z's. I had my moto and the speed at the dunes and They were an abosule blast . The quads in our last group were a stock 450r, modded 400ex,modded z400.
I got to ride them all and for jumping and shear hillclimbing power the 450r was the closest to speed the but I could always best his hillclimb hieghts. The day we were at chokecherry no one could make the top because of the sand conditions.

 

A <u>stock</u> engined Z may not rule the Dunes, but at least it was on the front end of the tow rope! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I'll back you up though, that Dale climbed higher and faster than the rest of us.

 

I went a head and purchased the Cannondale, hopefully it will be reliable and someone won't be towing me at the dunes.

That was a DS 7 something that got to the top first.. The Z is a Yoshi 450 and it will never beat an ATK on it's best day.. Predators, PLEASE!!!!!! There is two or three of them in one video and I blitzed all three of them after giving them all 100ft head starts. I can't remember if I was riding the 450 Yoshi or the ATK.. I like lining up against HRC and cam modded YFZ's.. The look on their faces at the top is priceless...

 

I wouldn't call the 'zilla the best quad ever made - but it certainly kicks the most a$$&gt; I remember when they came out in, what, 86 or 87?
We were out @ johnson valley and camped with a few dudes who had banshees and zillas. (I must have been 9 or so..)
My dads 250R trike held its own w/ the shees' - but that zilla was so damn fast.

I wish I could have ridden it then.. A few years back I got a chance to ride one out @ pismo (razors and paddles) - what a kick in the pants.

My 250R would need alot of mods to best it, I give you that.

Someday I'll buy one and build it up.....

That z is moded out to the max,its a yoshi 450 kit.
I'm new here,I from wyoduner forums and know buddah and sandgod the both have c-dals,atks.

Sandgod is my dune chaperone. Were going out there again early june .
